Dispatch

Every agent's wall side by side, with a load meter, so work can be moved before someone drowns.

The dispatch board

Dispatch (dispatchers and admins) shows every agent's wall in a row, plus the unassigned pool. Each column has a load meter — the sizes of that person's open notes added up — so the imbalance is visible at a glance rather than discovered in a Friday complaint.

Moving work

  • Drag a note from one column to another to reassign it. The ticket's status resets to Open and the new assignee is notified.
  • Drag from the pool to hand out new work.
  • Drag to the pool to take something off someone's plate without deciding who gets it yet.

Every move is recorded on the ticket.

Reading the meter

Points are just sizes summed: three size-2 tickets and one size-4 is 10 points. There's no "right" number — it depends on the person and the week — but a column that's double its neighbors is the one to look at first. Big single notes that have grown with age are the other tell: something is stuck.

Who can dispatch

Only the Dispatcher and Admin roles. An agent can take a ticket from the pool (if their "Can see" allows it) and can release their own tickets back to the pool, but can't assign work to someone else. Set roles under Admin → People.
